Tianjin Modern TIANJIN, CHINA
The staged redevelopment of a 3.6 hectare site in Tianjin comprises a 9-storey department store totalling 40 000 m², two office towers, a 600 key hotel and serviced apartments tower, a mixture of large and small scale specialty retail, a 10-screen cinema complex, as well as restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs.
The development by Tianjin-based Modern Group will also include refurbished existing 19th century heritage buildings, more than 1000 car parking spaces and bicycle parking. The completed development will extend over two city blocks, with 400 000 m² GLA. Stage 1, the department store, opened in 2007.
