The Maltings Apartments PERTH, WA
The 15 375 m² site of The Maltings Apartments had operated as a maltings works for 100 years and was listed on the WA Registry of Heritage Places. The design retained many of the historic industrial buildings and added new buildings to create 137 highly individual, warehouse-style dwellings.
The $23 M development by Australand was completed in 2001 and received the National Award and West Australian Award, Medium Density Housing, Urban Development Institute.
