Buchan has made five new appointments to its global design team with leadership promotions announced across its Perth, Auckland and Christchurch studios.
Bojana Hynes and Rhys Maxwell have been promoted to senior associates, while Alessandro Paladin, Arno Pieters and Bradley Hunting have been appointed as associates.
Buchan CEO Stephen Auld says the announcement is a reflection of the practice’s ongoing evolution as an internationally acclaimed architectural, interior and brand experience firm of 130 years.
“These promotions recognise the significant contributions of these individuals, but also our confidence in them as potential future leaders in the business,” he says.
Buchan’s talent pool consists of more than 250 staff across studios throughout Australia, New Zealand and China.
“Our sector strategy brings our best people to our clients, irrespective of geography. This enables our teams to actively draw on the expertise of our global talent to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
Auld brings a renewed focus to the design studio’s 130-year legacy since his appointment to the helm in January.
“Our emphasis on designing places and spaces that enrich the lives and experience of the individual and the community, is at the heart of what we do at Buchan,” he says.
“Core to this is bringing together and amplifying the diverse expertise of our design visionaries, across borders and sectors, including architecture, masterplanning, interiors and brand experience.”
Auld is focused on unifying and expanding Buchan’s global presence through integrated alliances, including with Nikken Sekkei and CallisonRTKL, to provide clients with access to unprecedented experience and strategic guidance of the world’s leading architects and urban designers.
